CHAROLAIS SALE

13 lots sold for $36,600 to average $2,815.

HIGH SELLING LOT and Grand Champion Charolais was Crystal D Ten Out of Ten 10T, from Crystal D Charolais, Balcarres.  It was purchased by Haggerty Livestock Ltd., Stony Beach, for $4,300.

SECOND HIGH SELLING LOT and Reserve Senior Champion Bull was Charla Moore Strive 33S, from Charla Moore Farms, Redvers.  It was purchased by Brian Czerwonka, Candiac, for $4,100.

HEREFORD SALE

19 lots sold for $57,100 to average $3,005

HIGH SELLING LOT Hereford Bull and Reserve Grand Champion was OBF Valor 39S, from Old Burchill Farms, Alameda.  It was purchased by Blaschuck Land & Cattle Co., Chaplin, for $5,000.

SECOND HIGH SELLING LOT was McCoy 55M Apollo 54S, from McCoy Farms, Milestone.  It was purchased by Emerold Springs Polled Herefords, Swift Current, for $3,800.

SECOND HIGH SELLING LOT was Meadow-Acres 35K Edge 62P 71S, from Meadow Acres Polled Herefords, Lampman. It was purchased by Bob Bestrop, Osage, for $3,800.

LIMOUSIN SALE

4 lots sold for $8,900 to average $2,225

HIGH SELLING LOT and Grand Champion Limousin was EDW Turkey Buzzard 263T, from Edwards Limousin, Craik.  It was purchased by Kyle James Hale, Plunkett, for $2,700.

THE SECOND HIGH SELLING LOT was Hi-Ways Polled Tango 10T, from Hi-Way Limousin, Bethune.  It was purchased by Marty Weichel, Odessa, for $2,200.

ANGUS SALE

42 lots sold for $116,550 to average $2,775

HIGH SELLING LOT was TJF Freedom 5054T, from Triple J Farms, Langbank.  It sold to Exalta Ranch, Eddystone, Manitoba for $5,500.

THE SECOND HIGH SELLING LOT and Senior Champion Bull was Freyburn Tonka 1S, from Freyburn Farms, Oxbow.  It was purchased by Blaschuck Land & Cattle, Chaplin, for $4,400.

RED ANGUS

43 lots sold for $127,950 to average $2,976.

HIGH SELLING LOT and Reserve Senior Champion Red Angus was Red Blu Dawn Cross Over 305S, from DKF Red Angus, Gladmar.  It was purchased by Nielson’s Red Angus, Craik, for $4,600.

SECOND HIGH SELLING LOT was Red SMW Jolt 67T, from Wagner Angus, Moose Jaw.  It was purchased by Vernal Sanden, Craik, for $4,300. 

SIMMENTAL SALE

25 lots sold for $65,550 to average $2,622.

THE HIGH SELLING LOT and Reserve Grand Champion Simmental was Double G Throttle 37T, from Double G Simmentals, Stalwart.  It was purchased by Brian Hawk, from Parkland, Alberta, for $3,500.

THE SECOND HIGH SELLING LOT was FTS Running Down a Dream 300T, from First Time Simmentals, Edenwold.  It was purchased by Vera Simpson, from Regina, for $3,450.

TOTAL

146 lots sold for $412,650 to average $2,826

The 103rd Regina Bull Sale saw more bulls sell with a higher gross than 2007. There was also a sale into the United States for the first time since BSE.  Although the high seller was not as high as previous years, the sale was strong throughout.
